Uniform & Dress Code Policy

To ensure a safe, respectful, and focused learning environment, all students are expected to follow the Lake Shore Middle School dress code while on campus.

Uniforms

Grade Level Polo Colors:
6th Grade: Maroon
7th Grade: Black
8th Grade: Grey

Pants or Shorts Colors (all grades):
Black, Blue, Khaki
Belt

Jackets:
All jackets must have the Lake Shore Logo.

Shoes:
Hart-bottom, closed-toe shoes.
Crocs and backless shoes are not allowed.

Student IDs:
All students must wear their Student ID at all times on campus.

The following items are not permitted on campus:

  • Crocs

  • Flip-flops

  • Sandals

  • Backless shoes

  • House shoes/slippers

  • Yeezy Foam Runners or similar open-heel footwear

  • Beanies

  • Hats

  • Hoodies

  • Lace bands

  • Bandanas

  • Bonnets

  • Scarves (unless worn for documented religious or medical purposes)

  • Body armor or protective-style vests that are not school-approved

We appreciate the partnership of our parents and guardians in helping students arrive at school dressed appropriately and ready to learn. Students who do not comply with the school's dress code may be subject to disciplinary action in accordance with the Duval County Public Schools Student Code of Conduct.
