In order to meet the needs of the whole child, Northwestern Legends Elementary has the following after-school club opportunities:

• 5000 Role Models (3rd - 5th grade male students) --a mentoring initiative focused on minority male students from grades K-12 through college, aiming to close the opportunity gap and prepare participants for higher-wage, high-skill careers in in-demand industries 5000rolemodels.com. The program emphasizes academic achievement, character development, leadership, and social responsibility while providing exposure to college, career, and community opportunities

• Gardening Club (K-5th students) --students participate weekly in planting and maintaining the school garden to harvest fruit and vegetables.

• Safety Patrols (5th Grade) --students are leaders in traffic safety, acting as role models to younger students and teaching fellow classmates the importance of traffic safety.

• Art Club (K-5) --an extra‑curricular, student‑led or teacher‑supervised group that meets outside of regular class time to explore creative activities, build artistic skills, and enjoy making art in a supportive environment
  

• Girls with Gifts Mentoring Club (3-5) --a year-long mentoring and leadership program designed to empower elementary school girls to recognize their unique gifts, build confidence, strengthen leadership abilities, and develop the social-emotional skills necessary for lifelong success.

• Boys and Girls Club --engage young people in activities with adults and peers that enable them to learn powerful life skills and introduce them to new experiences. Activities include the following:
