Karen Wade is a Jacksonville, Florida native where she received her education in the Duval County Public School System. She is a graduate of Bethune-Cookman University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and later a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from the University of North Florida and, most recently, School Counseling.

Ms. Wade began her career as an educator for students with special needs in 1994. She has taught various subjects and styles of learners (e.g., Reading, A.P. Psychology, and Dual Enrollment). She was a previous Reading teacher at Asa Philip Randolph from 2014 – 2017.  Ms. Wade has now returned as the School Counselor for 9th and 10th grade students.
