What Is STREAM?
STREAM stands for Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics. Six powerful areas of learning that help students grow as thinkers, creators, and problem-solvers.
In our STREAM magnet program, children don’t just learn facts—they explore, build, design, read, imagine, and discover. Lessons weave these subjects together so students can see how science connects to art, how reading strengthens engineering ideas, and how math helps them understand the world around them.
STREAM activities are integrated into every aspect of the school day. Students learn and develop critical thinking skills during classroom instruction, participation in resource classes, field trips, and extra-curricular opportunities such as Lego and sculpture clubs. Activities include incorporating literature when coding robots, engineering with Legos, designing 3D printing projects, participating in grade-level science fair projects, and exploring real-world applications of scientific and mathematical concepts.
STREAM learning is:
Hands-On: Students experiment, create projects, and tackle real-world challenges.
Creative: Art and imagination are celebrated as keys to innovative thinking.
Collaborative: Children learn to communicate, share ideas, and work as a team.
Future-Ready: STREAM builds the curiosity and confidence students need for tomorrow’s world.
In our STREAM magnet program, every child becomes an inventor, designer, scientist, and reader—all while having fun and discovering the joy of learning!
