The promotion of middle school students is based on the following criteria: 

• 6th Grade Students must successfully complete at least 3 of their 4 core courses: 

  • Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies.

• 7th Grade Students must successfully complete at least 3 of their 4 core courses: 

  • Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies AND recover any core course not passed in 6th grade.

• 8th Grade Students must successfully complete ALL 12 core courses in grades 6-8: 

  • 3 Language Arts, 3 Math, 3 Science, and 3 Social Studies.
