Welcome to your Summer Reading Adventure.

Did you know that reading over the summer is like giving your child’s brain a superpower? It's true! Summer reading is incredibly important for elementary students because it:

·       Keeps your brain active and growing while you are away from the classroom.

·       Prevents the "summer slide," ensuring you remember all the amazing things you learned last year.

·       Sparks your imagination by taking you on journeys to new worlds.

·       Builds your vocabulary and makes you an even stronger reader for the upcoming school year!

This summer, we have a special mission just for you. To help our San Pablo Elementary Junior Scientists, for every 20 minutes of reading, color one segment of the sea turtle shell. Whether you are reading about real-life ocean animals, exciting mysteries, or your favorite comic books, every single minute counts toward your goal!

When you return to school, bring your shell to your new teacher and you will be invited to a Reading Shellabration!

Happy reading, Junior Scientists! Let's make some waves!
