Mr. Dieye joined Duval County Public Schools as a Geometry instructor at Paxon School for Advanced Studies in 2008, after years in banking and finance.

At Paxon SAS, he led the math department to a 90-95% pass rate for six consecutive years on the state standards exam. In 2009, while at Paxon, he joined Florida State College of Jacksonville as an adjunct professor in Adult Education and Mathematics. In 2016, he led the Early College Program at Ribault High School, a partnership with Florida State College of Jacksonville and Duval County Public Schools. In 2020, he was named Teacher of the Year at Westside High School and the Florida Blue Spotlight Teacher of the Year for Duval County Public Schools.

He has served in various leadership capacities, including NJHS Sponsor, 5000 Role Models of Excellence Site Director, Shared Decision Member Chair, School Advisory Council Member, Math Department Chair, and Math Department Coach. He is also a board member of Literacy Pros, a community literacy partner with the City of Jacksonville, and a member of the Kids Hope Alliance advisory board, the National Urban League, and the University of North Florida Partners for Education Leadership.

He earned his Bachelor’s degree from Bethune-Cookman University in 2004, attended Boston University in 2006, and earned a Master’s degree from the University of London in 2015. He has also served as a Cognia AdvancED Accreditation Examiner since 2018.
