

Royal Court
The William M. Raines High School Royal Court is committed to developing student leaders who exemplify academic excellence, character, service, school spirit, and pride in the Mighty Viking tradition.
The William M. Raines High School Royal Court serves as a visible representation of the school’s leadership, traditions, values, and Mighty Viking Pride. Selected to serve as the school's official student ambassadors, members are expected to conduct themselves with professionalism, grace, respect, and enthusiasm while representing the school at events and within the broader community.
Serving on the Royal Court provides students with meaningful opportunities to develop leadership, communication, public speaking, teamwork, service, and interpersonal skills. Members are encouraged to use their platform to positively influence their peers, contribute to the school community, and uphold the proud legacy of William M. Raines High School.
Royal Court responsibilities may include:
Public Speaking: Representing Raines at school, community, and ceremonial events through speeches, presentations, and other public appearances.
Event Participation & Hosting: Assisting with and hosting school programs, celebrations, assemblies, athletic events, and special occasions.
Photo & Media Opportunities: Participating in official school photo sessions, promotional campaigns, and other media activities that highlight the Royal Court and Raines traditions.
Community Service: Participating in service projects and community initiatives that encourage civic responsibility and positive community engagement.
Student Mentorship: Serving as positive mentors and encouraging fellow students to pursue academic achievement, leadership, personal growth, and involvement in school activities.
To be eligible for membership, students must:
Apply and participate in the Royal Pageant during their junior year. Students selected through the Royal Pageant will serve as members of the Royal Court throughout their senior year.
Pageant contestants must meet & maintain the minimum grade point average established for Royal Court contestants.
Maintain a satisfactory disciplinary record and consistently demonstrate respectful, responsible, and appropriate behavior.
Attend school regularly and arrive on time.
Demonstrate school spirit, professionalism, respect, and a commitment to upholding the traditions and values of William M. Raines High School.
Be willing and available to fulfill Royal Court responsibilities, including school events, community activities, service opportunities, and official appearances.
