The Duval County Public Schools will conduct a second Consolidation Impact Review Group meeting pursuant to Board Policy 8.53 on Monday, October 28, 2024, at 5:30 p.m. The meeting will be held at Rufus E. Payne Elementary located at 6725 Hema Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32209 in the media center.

The purpose of the meeting:

To provide a final overview of the recommendation for the consolidation of George Washington Carver Elementary into Rufus E. Payne Elementary. The meeting is open to the public and will include an opportunity for public comment.

Any person who anticipates an appeal of a decision made by the Duval County School Board with respect to any matter considered at this meeting, or who may decide to appeal such decision, will need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made. This record will need to include the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
