Paraprofessionals are placed on a salary schedule based on their classification (Instructional, ESE, or ISSP). Salary schedules reflect numbered steps and columns. They are initially placed on a step on their salary schedule based on years of experience with DCPS and move from step to step with union negotiated salary increases.

Paraprofessionals are placed in the appropriate column within their salary schedule based on the number of in-service points received from college courses or district workshops. They continue to move to the next column as they continue to accrue in-service points.

This form is used when additional points are accrued and the paraprofessional qualifies to move to another column on the salary schedule. Submit the completed form to Ellen Clarke via email at Email Ellen Clarke. or school mail. Once the form is received, in-service points will be reviewed and attached to the form and submitted to Human Resources.
