Stingray Nation Weekly Update Atlantic Coast High School

Hello Stingray Nation!

There is no school tomorrow, Monday, January 19th. We will see you all on campus on Tuesday, January 20th.

Quarter Two report cards are now available in Focus. Please be sure to check your students grades and progress regularly and reach out to teachers with any concerns.

Join us this Tuesday, January 20th at 5:30pm for our monthly PTSA Meeting followed by our monthly School Advisory Committee meeting at 6:15pm in the media center. Parents, Students and Community members are welcome to attend.

A valid, visible student parking pass is required for all vehicles on campus. Effective Monday, January 12th, we will begin ticketing and towing vehicles without a pass. This is a safety and security requirement here at Atlantic Coast High School. Parking passes can be purchased in the media center during your lunch period.

Stingrays, tutoring is available for all students after school on both Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:30 pm-4:30 pm. Students interested in attending are to report to the Media Center at 2:30 pm. Teachers will be available from all core content areas during this time.

Senior parents make sure to mark your calendar so that you can attend our second semester senior parent meeting on Wednesday, January 21st, at 6:30pm in the auditorium. Attending this meeting will earn your student an additional ticket to graduation on top of all the valuable information we will be going over.

Seniors you have one last chance to be included in the 2025-2026 yearbook. Cady will be on campus on January 22nd taking senior yearbook photos only. The cost is $10 and can be paid cash directly to Cady on January 22nd, via a QR code provided by Cady, or it can be added to your student debt to be paid later. Spots are limited. See Ms. Lakatos in room 213 to sign up. This session is for the yearbook photo only. Please note that seniors who do not take a yearbook picture will not be pictured in the yearbook. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to Ms. Lakatos.

Club Picture Day will take place on Wednesday, January 21st, in the auditorium. Students should have received a pass from their club sponsor with their assigned time slot. Students are expected to arrive on time.

Students and families are invited to attend the National English Honor Society Induction Ceremony on Thursday, January 22nd at 6:30 PM in the auditorium. Join us as we recognize and celebrate students who have demonstrated excellence in English language arts, scholarship, and service. We hope you can attend this special evening honoring our newest NEHS members.

Are you an underclassman interested in being part of Musical Theatre next year? Auditions for the 2026–2027 school year will take place this Tuesday, January 20th, after school in the auditorium. Students should prepare a 2-minute monologue and a song selection. Please wear closed-toe shoes and comfortable clothing, as you will be learning two 8-count dance combinations. We look forward to seeing you there!
