On April 21st, Atlantic Coast High School will host a FAST/B.E.S.T. Testing Parent Information Night in conjunction with the PTSA and School Advisory Council (SAC) meetings. PTSA will begin at 5:30 p.m., followed by SAC at 6:15 p.m. Parents are invited to visit the media center before, between, or immediately after these meetings to learn more about state assessments, including those required for graduation, and to have any questions answered. Families are also encouraged to stay and participate in the PTSA and SAC meetings.
Join us this Thursday, April 23rd at 7pm in the auditorium for a "Summer Serenade" presented by our ACHS Choral Department. Tickets are available starting tomorrow on GoFan for $10. Come out and hear our Straight Superior rated choirs and soloists!
We’re excited to invite you to AC's Inaugural Rays on the Run 5K Fun Run this Saturday, April 25th at 8:00 AM! Open to students, families, and friends of all ages, the race will begin and end on the football field and be followed by a post-run celebration and awards ceremony. Registration is available on GoFan—be sure to sign up in advance to secure your spot!
Seniors with tickets to Grad Bash: Don't forget you have a mandatory rules meeting on Monday, April 20th, immediately after school in the auditorium. During this meeting we will discuss rules, dress code, and bag requirements. We will also answer any questions you may have about the trip. This is also when you sign up for buses. Only seniors going on grad bash need to attend this meeting and it will last approximately 1 hour.
There will be a meeting for all students interested in participating in Senior Olympics on Wednesday, April 29th, after school in Ms. Lakatos’s room 213.
If you are not part of the senior bundle but want to participate in the senior week events at Skate Station Mandarin and Main Event along with Senior Olympics, you need to purchase a senior week pass online at dcps.schoolcashonline.com.
Don’t forget that you can still make a donation to Project 35 through May 15th. For our senior families, this project also provides an opportunity for seniors to earn additional graduation tickets. A $10 donation earns 1 additional graduation ticket, a $35 donation earns 2 additional graduation tickets. Note that two is the maximum number of additional tickets that can be earned through Project 35. Donations can be made HERE. Thank you for supporting Stingray students and helping us make a positive impact beyond our campus.
As always, if you have any feedback or input on our work here at Atlantic Coast please reach out to the school.
