Hello Stingray Nation!
Quarter Four Progress Reports will be posted to Focus accounts on Wednesday, April 29th. Please be sure to monitor your Parent/Guardian Focus account and communicate with your student about their current performance. With five weeks remaining, let's be proactive to finish the quarter and the school year strong!
Cap and gown distribution is this week on Monday and Tuesday, April 27th and 28th. Seniors need to check their DCPS student emails for directions and information that was sent out last Thursday. Also don’t forget you can purchase a ticket to senior week and pay your commencement dues online at dcps.schoolcashonline.com if you are not part of the senior bundle.
Stingrays, if you are newly enrolled or were absent on your scheduled course selection day, please meet with your assigned school counselor during your assigned lunch time, Monday through Thursday. Be sure to visit by May 8th, or you will lose this opportunity.
As Advanced Placement exam and state testing weeks approach, we could use your help providing students and teachers with a test-day pick-me-up. If you would like to contribute, please see either this Donors Choose or this Amazon wish list. We appreciate your support!
Join us for an unforgettable evening of music at the Atlantic Coast High School Band Spring Concert, Twisted Tales, on Tuesday, April 28 at 7:00 PM in the ACHS Auditorium. This year’s concert brings the dark and thrilling side of the fairy tales you know and love to life through a hauntingly exciting program performed by our talented student musicians. Admission is free, and we hope you’ll come out to support the band for this special night of music.
Come out and show your school spirit at our PTSA Spirit Night on Tuesday, April 28th, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, at Culver's on Gate (7818 Gate Parkway, Jacksonville, FL 32256). Enjoy a delicious meal while supporting Atlantic Coast High School's PTSA. A portion of the evening’s proceeds will go directly toward funding programs, events, and resources for our students and teachers. It’s a win-win! This is a great opportunity to meet other Stingray families, connect with the PTSA, and learn about how you can get involved. Whether you’re a long-time supporter or new to the school, we’d love to see you there! Mark your calendar, bring your appetite, and spread the word! Let’s make it a fun and successful night for our school community. We can’t wait to see you on April 28th at Culver's!
Seniors with tickets to Grad Bash: Remember you are required to be in the auditorium by Noon on Thursday, April 30th. Make sure you have the DCPS app downloaded onto your phone and that you have logged in with your DCPS student login. This is how your chaperones will communicate with you during the evening and how you can communicate with them.
Join us for a fun evening at Stingray Movie Night on Friday, May 1st at 6:00 PM in the auditorium! Tickets are available on GoFan for $6. Stingray families, students, and faculty are all welcome! We hope to see you there!

Are you interested in hosting a foreign exchange student this summer in the month of July? EF is looking for host families in the Jacksonville area. Many of our students here at Atlantic Coast have traveled overseas with EF, so this is an amazing opportunity to connect with students from around the world and show them how amazing Jacksonville (and Florida) is! Students are in Florida for 2 to 4 weeks in July 2026. If you are interested, please complete this form to be contacted with more information.
Don’t forget that you can still make a donation to Project 35 through May 15th. For our senior families, this project also provides an opportunity for seniors to earn additional graduation tickets. A $10 donation earns 1 additional graduation ticket, a $35 donation earns 2 additional graduation tickets. Note that two is the maximum number of additional tickets that can be earned through Project 35. Donations can be made HERE. Thank you for supporting Stingray students and helping us make a positive impact beyond our campus.
As always, if you have any feedback or input on our work here at Atlantic Coast please reach out to the school.
