Get ready for our annual Beat Mandarin Week next week, August 24th through 28th! Show your Stingray spirit and support our Athletic Boosters by purchasing a Beat Mandarin shirt. Shirts can be purchased from Ms. Lakatos’s windows, these are the painted windows facing the courtyard by the auditorium stairs. Stay tuned: our Beat Mandarin Week spirit theme days will be announced soon!
The Schedule Correction Form is now closed. School counselors will continue reviewing correction requests this week. Students should check their FOCUS accounts daily to ensure they are following the correct schedule. For schedule change requests that have been denied, students will receive a notification via their DCPS student email with reason(s) for why their schedule change request was not approved.
The first PERT of this school year will be offered on Wednesday, August 26th, after school. PERT is important for students who wish to take dual enrollment classes. It is also one avenue for earning senior leave. Students should check One View for qualification information and a link to a registration sign-up sheet. The sign-up will be open until Thursday, August 20th.

Grades 9-11 can purchase the Underclassmen Bundle which includes a yearbook, an all-season sports pass, a Stingray Nation t-shirt and crewneck sweatshirt.
Seniors can purchase the senior bundle which includes a yearbook, an all-season sports pass, senior clothing and gear, a ticket to prom and the new winter white out dance, and more! You can pay in full or you can make a down payment as part of the payment plan, your choice.
Once you have made your purchase, you must show your receipt to Ms. Solomon during your lunch. You will find her in the media center this week on Monday and Tuesday. Starting Wednesday, you will find her in room 123 (next door to the media center). Make sure you see her this week so that you can receive your sports pass to use at the game this Friday night!
Looking to get involved at Atlantic Coast? Come join us this Tuesday, August 18th at 5:30 PM for our first monthly PTSA meeting followed by our first monthly School Advisory Committee meeting at 6:15 PM. Parents, Students and community members are welcome to attend. Please refer to the school website under SAC for more information.

Seniors, if you haven’t received your senior clearance card you should see Mrs. Prier this week during your lunch period. Cleared seniors have a 2.0 or higher GPA, have passed the state-required Reading and Math assessments, and have earned all required credits from grades 9–11. Cleared seniors will receive a special senior gift so make sure you stop by and get cleared!
Yearbooks are on sale now online at yearbookordercenter.com. Last year we completely sold out of yearbooks, so don’t wait and order yours today! This is also where senior families can order senior ad pages in the yearbook. Make sure to order yours early before space runs out.
