Good Evening Arlington Families! There’s still plenty of Summer Break left, but now is the best time for our new Vikings to order their Uniforms. Don’t forget, the Uniform Shirt will carry over to the next grade level, so there is no need to order new uniforms if the ones from the previous year are still in good condition! (*parents may want to consider ordering a size up for their 6th graders to allow for that middle school growth spurt😉) Order by July 15th to be able to pick up your shirts by Orientation on Saturday, July 26th!

Good Afternoon Arlington Families! This is Principal Stuart, and I'm calling with a special invitation for all of our Vikings and their Families. July is already half over and, as much as we've enjoyed the summer, we are really excited about all of the things that are going to make the 25-26 School Year our best yet! As we've done the last 3 years, we're going to kick things off with a Celebration for the whole Arlington Community! We know school orientations can be inconveniently timed and are often just about sharing the same information over and over each year, so instead of having an hour long orientation in the middle of the week, we are hosting a BACK TO SCHOOL CELEBRATION & ORIENTATION EVENT on Saturday, July 26th from 9am to 1pm. We'll get started at 9am with a brief introduction and presentation from our school admin to share some important information about what to expect this year. particularly important for our new students and their families. After the initial presentation, in the Cafeteria, families will have the opportunity to tour the campus, meet faculty & staff members, visit some of the more than 40 community and business partner booths. Students will be able to sign-up for athletics, clubs and other organizations and Parents can learn how to join our PTSA and School Advisory Committee or just learn more about how Arlington can better serve you as and your community. Pick up pre-purchased uniforms or order uniforms directly through our vendor on site. Families will have an opportunity to learn about the many resources and services available, not just to DCPS and Arlington middle School students, but also the families of those students. And maybe the best of all families who attend will get to enjoy food, music, games, a bounce house, raffles and special school supply giveaways. We are going to kick off the best school year yet with the best back to school celebration yet, so mark you calendar and make sure you are here to be part of the experience! Good Afternoon Arlington Families! The Testing Season is Officially Upon us and this Saturday, May 3rd, will be our 6th and FINAL Saturday School Session of the year. While our 7th and 8th Graders will have already taken their State Reading Assessment, we'll still be providing valuable instruction and practice to support our 6th Graders before taking their Reading Assessment on Monday and all of our students for the upcoming State Assessments in Math, Science & Social Studies. As always, our outstanding teachers will be here to provide hands-on and targeted support to help improve student performance and increase student scores on State Assessments. The Final Session of Saturday School will be held from 9am to 1pm, this Saturday, May 3rd, at Arlington Middle School. Don't Forget, Breakfast will be provided!

Our First Two Sessions went great and students and teachers are all say the extra time , smaller groups, and hands-on support make a big difference!
