Take small steps now to get ready: Adjust sleep schedules a little each week, gather school supplies and organize backpacks, keep learning going with 20 minutes of reading or math each day, mark important school dates on your family calendar, and start practicing morning routines. We can't wait to welcome everyone back for another amazing year!
REGISTER FOR A BUS TODAY - Bus registration for the 2026–2027 school year is now open. All students who plan to ride a school bus next year must be registered in advance, including students enrolled in self-contained ESE programs. Families are encouraged to register as early as possible to help ensure a smooth start to the school year. Registration forms are available in Focus. TEACHER TOUCHES HEARTS – Congratulations to Ms. Macon, a 5th grade teacher from Beauclerc Elementary, for earning today’s Team Duval Shoutout! She is being recognized for her impact in and out of the classroom. Says one parent: “Ms. Macon made the effort to attend and support a few of Malcom’s soccer games, cheering him on and expressing how proud she is of his dedication. At that moment, he realized that Ms. Macon is not only just a teacher, but that she always has his best interest at heart. WIDA testing will begin January 26, 206 and will continue until March 13, 2026.
Florida uses the WIDA ACCESS suite of assessments as a tool to measure English Language Learners (ELLs) proficiency in the English language; thus, ensuring the skills needed in school to achieve at high levels, academically.
