It is with profound sadness that I call you to share the news of the unexpected passing of one of our students.
As a school community, we are heartbroken, and our most sincere condolences go out to the family, friends, and our entire school community during this incredibly difficult time.
  
Your child may be emotionally impacted, even if they did not personally know the student.  To assist our students and staff, specially trained counselors and social workers will be available at the school. 
Your child is important to us, and we want to do whatever we can to support them.  However, if you would prefer that your child not participate in any of the grief counseling activities, please contact the school office. Again, we are all deeply saddened, and we are prepared to provide support for your child and all our students.

Tomorrow is National Girls and Women in Sports Day! This is a time to celebrate and recognize the accomplishments of female athletes and the importance of sports participation for girls and women. All 3rd - 5th grade girls with signed permission slips will be celebrating this exciting day through panel discussion with community leaders and fun sport activities. Students must have a completed permission slip in order to participate. Students are asked to come dressed in spirit shirts with athletic bottoms and shoes.

No school tomorrow. Please ensure all students are in school on Thursday and Friday. Our last day of state testing is this Friday January 24, 2025.
We continue to remain in direct contact with the City of Jacksonville Emergency Management team in regard to the potential for dangerous winter weather coming into our area. Given the possibility for unsafe conditions, Duval County Public Schools and district offices will be closed on Wednesday, Jan. 22. In addition, all athletics and after-school activities scheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 22 will be canceled.
All regularly scheduled athletic and extracurricular activities taking place today, Jan. 21, will continue as planned.
Please make sure students are in school on Thursday if possible. We are in the middle of state testing.
