Hello Chimney Lakes Parents & Care Givers:

We were so excited to see you all at Orientation on Friday! Please take a look at the flyer below to answer some Frequently Asked Questions. Remember, you are able to walk your student into the building for the first 3 days from 8:00-8:25 am. After 8:30 am, personnel will have to walk them to class. Extended Day morning families, please walk your student into the front office for the first day. VPK/Kindergarten families: Don't forget about our Boo-Hoo/YAHOO Breakfast PTA Meet and Greet in the Media Center.

NOTE: The front drive of the school is closed from 8:00-8:30 every morning and 2:15-3:15 every afternoon. This is due to safety reasons. This is nothing new for the afternoon, but we have had to add it in the morning due to safety factors. Please use the car line to drop off your student.

In the afternoon, for the first few days, it is absolutely normal for it to take much longer than on a normal school day. Many families want to pick up their student during the first week of school, but choose other options throughout the school year. On Monday, we will be working to tag all of our students' backpacks with how they will get home on a normal day. If you are only doing car riders on the first day, the tag will not be car riders, but what is expected on a normal day. Families only need car rider tags if you are picking up students in the car line on a regular basis.

Our goal is to finish our car line by 3:10 pm daily. However, we recognize this won't happen on the first week. As soon as the car line is clear, we will move inside and any late pickups will be in the front office.

Finally, remember to complete any paperwork for us by Wednesday, August 12th. Have a great evening and we'll see you in the morning!
