Hello Parents & Care Givers at Chimney Lakes!

Just a quick reminder that students will have to walk on their own into the school building tomorrow. Parents are no longer allowed in the building to walk them to class. Please know we have plenty of personnel to assist students with getting to class. I saw so many wonderful families teaching their young students to follow the cheetah paws from the car line into the building as well as from the walker gate. Don't fret! We will take good care of them.

Here are a few other reminders:

*VPK/Kindergarten Families: Please make sure you pack a change of clothes in their backpacks. Little ones still have an accident from time to time, but it is important to have something for them to wear in this instance.

*Sign and Return the forms that went home. Thank you for those who returned the blue information card as we are steadily inputting those into the FOCUS system.

*T-shirt order forms for new year will be coming home this week. Please be on the look out for them. Fridays are our BLUE and YELLOW days for our school colors. We all wear them every Friday and a school shirt is the perfect way to show your school spirit!

*Birthdays are wonderful. However, the guidelines we have are set for all. If you are bringing a special treat to share with the class, it is important that they are cupcakes, cookies, doughnuts...something that is individual servings. We do not have the personnel to assist with a large cake or even pizza. We encourage you to do something like eating in the Cheetah Cafe for lunch with your student and then sharing cupcakes with the whole class. Due to volunteer screening laws, we are not allowed to have parents in the cafeteria unless you have a Level 2 volunteer clearance. Pictures can only be taken of your personal child. Thank you for understanding.

Finally, thank you for your patience as the district changed bus routes on us today. We know it is frustrating when the plan you have in place is changed, but we are grateful to you for your support.

Here's to a great 4th day!

Sincerely,

Marianne G. Lee
