Hello Chimney Lakes Families & Care Givers:

I hope you all have recovered from the Halloween festivities this past weekend. Now that we are in November, we want to use our 14 instructional days wisely. Here are a few things for you this week:

PTA Points: Cheetah Families, We're Growing!

We're officially at 130 PTA members, and we're getting closer to our goal of 150 members!

We're just 20 members away! Can you help us reach our goal by November 6th?

Every membership makes a difference! Your $10 membership helps support our students, teachers, Paw Parties, school events, and all the wonderful things we do at Chimney Lakes Elementary.

And remember, joining the PTA does NOT mean you have to volunteer or commit to anything. It's simply another way to show your support for our school!

Grandparents, family members, friends, and neighbors are welcome to join, too!

Let's keep growing together!

130 down, 20 to go!

One School. One Team. Let's Grow Together!

FOOD DRIVE: Every year, Chimney Lakes participates in a food drive that supports Argyle Church. They take our non-perishable food items and they turn them into Thanksgiving Baskets for the needy. Please check out the flyer below. We will have our annual contest for most cans collected and best collection basket! The drive is going on from November 2-20. Bring yours in today!

PERFECT POTATO ATTENDANCE INCENTIVES: One of our school and district goals is to increase our daily attendance. We know children are more successful when they are consistently present and active in the learning. To help motivate our students, we are starting our PERFECT POTATOES! Each day a class has 100% attendance, the teacher will add a body part to a real Mr. Potato Head. Once all 10 parts are on, the students get a (potato)"Chip Party"! Want to help us, we've created an Amazon wish list for chips for classes. Just open the QR code with your phone's camera. We can't wait for our admin team to deliver the chips in our Mr. Potato Head costume!

Veterans Day Flag Raising: Military families, please send a picture of your loved one in uniform. It should be a 4x6 or 5x7 picture, not an only copy but one they do not expect to get back, family member's name,  branch of service, rank, when they entered the military and when they got out of the military or still serving and the CLE student's name for that family member.

Don't forget to dress up in red, white and blue for Friday's flag raising!

Yellow Ribbon @ Veterans Day Flag Ribbon: If you have an active duty military loved one who is deploying soon, please complete this form.

Have a great week!

Sincerely,

Marianne G. Lee
