Hello Chimney Lakes Families & Caregivers!
The registration window is closing for Family Paint Night on Thursday, April 10th. The window for registering ends on Sunday, April 6th. We will not have any supplies for those that just show up on the 10th. So, make sure you register TODAY!

Hello Chimney Lakes Families & Care Givers,
We hope you are having a great week! Our Chimney Lakes students are busy working and preparing for our year end testing.
Next week, we have our annual Field Day (aka Play Day). The schedule will go as follows:
8:45-10:15 am VPK-1st Grade
10:30am-12:00 pm 2nd & 3rd Grade
12:45-2:15 pm 4th & 5th Grade
All volunteers MUST be cleared BEFORE coming to the school. Since this is open to about 300 children, volunteer clearance must be done and approved.
April is the Month of the Military Child! We wear PURPLE to show our support to our students. We will have a special ceremony to celebrate our military families on Tuesday, April 15th. We encourage ALL students to wear PURPLE. Any active duty military parent and/or guardian may come to the flag raising. We will have the Navy Brass Ensemble and Navy Command. Please see the flyer attached.
VPK/Kindergarten Round Up is coming on Wednesday, April 23rd @ 9 am. Invitations will go out to our new magnet families. However, if you know of an incoming kindergartener for the 25-26 school year, please encourage them to come. The link for registering is attached to this message.
End of Year Testing begins at the end of April. It is important for you to have a conversation with your child regarding the importance of doing their best on their assessment and to only click their answer when they have studied all of the choices. Sometimes, students do not understand the importance of these assessments and how scheduling decisions are made based on their data. Finally, attendance is critical for success in school. Please make sure your student is here at school every day! Our students that are piloting BIZI are serious about getting their BIZI BUCKS and they can't do so unless they attend school.
Hope to see you for the Family Paint Night on Thursday, April 10th! Don't forget registration closes on Sunday, April 6th!
Please reach out if you have any questions about the upcoming events.
Sincerely,
Marianne G. Lee
Principal

Hello CLE Families & Care Givers:
I hope everyone had a wonderful Spring Break. Now, that we've had a bit a of rest, we have a lot of activities to share with you!
*Tuesday, March 25th is April's SAC Meeting. We will meet to discuss our Developmental Survey for parents to let us know what parent programs you'd like to have for the 25-26 school year. Here's the link if you can't join us: https://forms.office.com/r/Jr8LRDPwMx
*Wednesday is our March Early Dismissal Day! Students will be dismissed starting at 12:45 pm. Remember, every day is an instructional day. Students who miss Early Dismissal Days are still missing instruction.
*Friday is our annual INTERNATIONAL DAY ! It's not late to sign up to volunteer. You can go to https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C094DABA623A4F4CE9-international1#/
Remember: We encourage all students to dress up in international wear. Students that are in international wear will be able to be in our parade starting at 9 am. You are welcome to watch in our regular parade areas.
*Let's get BIIZI! We are piloting are new behavior incentive system as a part of our PBIS plan (Positive Behavior Support) plan for all of our students. If your child is in Mrs. Hawkins, Mrs. Ahnemiller's classes or in 2nd or 5th grade classrooms, they will participate in BIZI. The goal is to increase positive student behaviors, increase attendance and motivation. In the process, students will practice financial literacy. As students rack up Bizi Bucks, they can spend them in the School Store. I've attached a document that lets you know what students can get bonuses (adds Bizi Bucks) and flags (which doesn't get the bonuses). Parents can see their child's Bizi account by logging into oneview.duvalschools.org with their child's username/password. Go to the "Blended Learning" tab and click on Bizi for a Clever Log In.
Also, mark your calendars for Campus Beautification Day on Friday, April 25th. More information will be coming soon about your grade level's area for beautification.
Finally, if you know of anyone that will be starting Kindergarten in the fall, please remind them that we have our Kindergarten Round Up coming on Wednesday, April 23rd @ 9 am. Can't wait to see our new students soon!
Thank you for your support.
Sincerely,
Marianne G Lee
