Save the Date! Our annual Literacy Night will be held on Thursday, November 20th from 5:30-6:30pm. Please mark the date in your calendar - more information will be coming soon!

We will celebrate Red Ribbon week next week! Each day will be a different dress up day, as we Say NO to Drugs! A flyer was sent home with your student today with the corresponding days for next week.

Our Quarter 1 Awards Ceremonies will take place next week. Please join us for your child's Grade Level Ceremony!

Fall Picture Day will be on Monday, October 20th. You can visit leonards.com/order to order photos.

Please join us for our PTA & SAC Meeting on Thursday, October 16 at 5:00pm. We value your input and hope to see you there!

Our annual Book Character Parade will be held again this year on October 30th starting at 9:30am. In order to make this event successful, we need your help! We need candy donations in order to make goodie bags for students as they "Trunk or Treat" during the parade. Please drop off any donations at the front office and remember - NO chocolate or nuts.

We also need a few trunks to be decorated for show on the morning of the parade. If you would like to decorate your trunk, please email Mrs. Tartler at gokateherz@gmail.com so we can arrange for your vehicle to be parked appropriately for the parade.

The Cathedral Arts Project is a nationally recognized nonprofit provider of quality arts education and therapeutic programs for school-aged children in Northeast Florida. The driving force behind all CAP programs is the belief that the arts matter – they provide essential skills, like creative thinking, perseverance, teamwork and self-discipline, that benefit all people in all areas of their lives.

This year, CAP will continue to provide daytime and after school Strings courses at Central Riverside on Mondays and Wednesdays. We have Beginner Strings from 3:15-4:15 and Intermediate Strings from 4:15-5:15. These classes are for students in 3rd through 5th grades. Classes begin this week and space is limited, so enroll your student today at capkids.org/enroll.

Due to unforeseen contracting issues, bus services for certain schools, including ours, may experience delays on the morning of Tuesday, August 19, 2025. To help ensure students arrive at school on time, parents are strongly encouraged to make alternative transportation arrangements. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and are working diligently to resolve the matter as quickly as possible. We appreciate your understanding and partnership in supporting the safe and timely arrival of all students.

Girls on the Run Registration is now open for girls in grades 3rd-5th until September 5th. There are only 20 spots available, and registration is on a first come first serve so don't delay. This is an after-school program and we will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30pm-4:45pm.

Good Afternoon CRES Families! Can you believe it? Our last day of school for the 2024-2025 school year is tomorrow! We have had an incredible school year and are already looking forward to Blast into Learning next school year with a space theme! As a quick reminder, dismissal for all students will be at 11:45am tomorrow. Afternoon Extended Day will not be held tomorrow. We hope you all have a FIN-tastic summer!

Good Evening CRES Families, We hope you have had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend and are ready for our last few days of school. A few reminders as we head into our last week: tomorrow, we will celebrate our Quarter 4 Awards for our 2nd graders at 9:30am and our 4th Graders at 1:30pm. We would love for parents to attend these ceremonies! Our last day of Extended Day in the afternoon will be this Thursday, with only morning Extended Day offered on Friday Morning, so please arrange for dismissal on Friday. On Friday, we will begin dismissal at 11:45am. We have a week full of celebrations for students to honor their hard work and success this year at Central Riverside!
