I wanted to let you know that we had a student make a statement in class insinuating that he had a prohibited object in his backpack. It was immediately reported to the Principal and Officer on campus. The student and his belongings were immediately removed and it was found that the student had made a paper facsimile with nothing but lined paper and tape from home. There was no threat at any time. We will continue to make the safety of our students, faculty, and staff our priority. Please have conversations with your students about what is appropriate to bring to school and check their backpacks daily so this type of concern does not happen. I truly appreciate your support! Have a wonderful afternoon!

Everyone at Crystal Springs is enjoying a nice and COOL afternoon as the AC continues to be up and running! :)
Here are a few reminders for the upcoming week as we go into the weekend:
1. Your child will be coming home with a 1/2 sheet of paper with a QR code. I am asking you to scan the code and take the brief survey. Once you have done that, complete the 1/2 sheet and send it back in with your child on Monday so he/she can be entered in to a drawing to be the Principal of the Day (with me).
2. Monster Mash- Halloween Dance: Oct 24 from 6-8. Please review previous posts about the dance and how to sign up. Everything must be done online no later than Oct 22- there will be NO tickets to be bought at the door!!!!
3. Book Character Parade- look for info to be posted on Thrillshare and come home next week! In the meantime, you all will be able to attend the parade on October 31st. Doors will open at 8:55 and promptly close at 9:10. Anyone who arrives after 9:10, will not be allowed in the watch.
I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

I wanted to let everyone know that the building continues to have no AC. The AC and maintenance specialists continue to work on it tirelessly. Thankfully, it is not hot outside. The teachers have fans going in classes, which is helping with the classroom temperatures slightly. If you would like to come pick your student up early, you are more than welcome to as we absolutely understand! Thank you!
Principal Session
The following activities will take place Wednesday October 22nd-Friday October 24th:
Wednesday October 22nd: “Wear your Unity”
Wear orange to show unity for Kindness and Courage. Each classroom will take the “Dolphin Pledge”. Classes will receive orange bracelets to represent unity.
Thursday October 23rd: "Spread Unity through Kindness!"
Write and share a kind message to a classmate or friend.
Friday October 24th: "Sport Unity with your Favorite Team"
Wear favorite sport team’s jersey or shirt.

I wanted to let you know that the AC Chiller Coolant has a leak, which is affecting the AC in all classrooms and offices. There is maintenance on campus now working on it. Currently, the temperature is reading between 74-76 in the rooms. We are running a normal schedule and business as usual. I will continue to keep you updated if anything changes. As a reminder, if you plan on checking your child out early, please remember that you must pick your kiddos up PRIOR to 2:15pm. Thank you!

SAC is an elected committee made up of parents, staff, administrators, businesses, and community members who work together on academic school improvement.
Be the Change through making a difference!

We had a brief disruption in our schedule today due to a false fire alarm.
All students, faculty, and staff were evacuated from the building as a precautionary measure for safety. Jacksonville Fire and Rescue came to the school and gave us the all clear for everyone to re-enter the building! Have a great day!
We have an amazing opportunity coming to Crystal Springs on December 3rd and 4th! We will have a free, YES FREE, mobile dentist here to take care of all of our kiddos teeth needs! They will be providing free cleaning services to each student that is signed up by their parent/ guardian! If you have not completed the packet sent home, you will need to complete the link below.
Website for Parents to Enroll: https://www.myschooldentist.com/36234_schsrm
