The mission of Douglas Anderson’s school counseling program is to support all students through a comprehensive and developmental approach by addressing the academic, career, and personal/social skills necessary to achieve quality learning and lifelong success. This is accomplished through the counselors’ delivery of school counseling and counseling activities as well as through a collaborative effort between the home, school, and community to further Douglas Anderson as the leading public arts high school in the nation.

🌟 Hello Week: October 6–10 🌟 Hosted by DA for Change

DA for Change is hosting Hello Week, a schoolwide initiative October 6 - 10 to build community, reduce stigma, and create meaningful conversations around mental health and inclusion

Each day will bring a new theme and activity during lunches to encourage kindness, positivity, and connection with one another. From writing uplifting notes to sharing acts of kindness, creating bracelets, and joining a mix & mingle scavenger hunt, there’s something for everyone!

💚 Our goal: to remind students that a simple “hello” can help someone feel seen, valued, and included.

Stay tuned for morning announcements and daily updates with details on where to find us and how to participate. We can’t wait to see you there!
