On Thursday, November 14th at 6:30 pm Duval Schools’ Family Engagement department is partnering with FBI Jacksonville to offer families “Be Smart With Your Kid’s Smartphone.” This is an opportunity to hear from FBI special agents who investigate crimes against children. The presentation, hosted at Mandarin High School, will reveal the latest technology, targeting strategies, and social media apps that predators are using to find, manipulate, and harm local kids.
This eye-opening presentation of real-life cases from the Jacksonville area will help teachers, school leaders, parents, caregivers, and community members identify specific risk factors and learn how to handle potential, or actual, situations and help keep children safe.
This event if FREE for Duval Schools’ staff and families, but seats are limited. To register for this event, click HERE now or visit the Parent Academy course catalog for other upcoming courses.
The presentation includes mature content and may not be appropriate for children. Adult discretion is advised.
