Attention Bus 777 Families:
Bus 777 has not yet arrived at Garden City Elementary. All students assigned to this bus are safe and remain at school under staff supervision.
We were not notified in advance that a driver would be unavailable today. We are currently awaiting an update from the Transportation Department regarding bus arrival.
We apologize for the inconvenience and will provide updates as information becomes available.

Garden City families of Bus 246. According to the Duval County Public Schools Transportation Department, Bus 246 currently does not have an assigned driver. The Transportation Department is actively working to resolve this issue. The transportation number is 904-858-6200.
In the meantime, another bus must complete its regular route before coming to Garden City Elementary to pick up our Bus 246 students. As a result, Bus 246 is expected to arrive at our school between 4:00 and 4:30 each afternoon. This delay will continue until the driver situation is resolved.
We understand that this may be an inconvenience for families. If you would prefer for your child to become a walker or car rider instead of waiting for the bus, **please email your child's teacher or send a written note requesting the transportation change.**
We sincerely apologize for this inconvenience and appreciate your patience and understanding as the Transportation Department works to resolve this issue.

Garden City Families,
Transportation is still actively working to secure a driver for Bus 777 for this afternoon. When coverage has been secured on previous days, the bus has typically arrived around **4:30 p.m.** Please keep this possible delay in mind as you make plans for this afternoon.
We anticipate that the regular Bus 777 driver will return on Wednesday so hopefully today will be our last day of delays. 🤞🏾

URGENT BUS 777 UPDATE
We were just notified that Bus 777 does not currently have a driver for afternoon dismissal today. At this time, Transportation does not have another driver available to transport our students home.
Families of Bus 777 students should please make arrangements to pick up their child from school this afternoon.
I am currently working directly with the Transportation Department and will immediately notify families if another transportation option becomes available.

The driver for Bus 777 will be out for the remainder of this week. Bus 246 will transport Bus 777 students; however, Bus 246 must complete its regular route first before returning for our students.
This means morning pickup and afternoon drop-off will be later than usual.
For today, we anticipate Bus 246 arriving at Garden City to pick up students between approximately 3:45 and 3:55 p.m.
