CELEBRATING SCHOOL COUNSELORS — Team Duval is proud to recognize National School Counseling Week and the incredible impact our more than 240 school counselors make every single day. They advocate for students, help them navigate their academic journeys, and guide them toward their goals. Our success as an A-rated district with a 97.6% graduation rate would not be possible without these dedicated professionals. As part of this special week, dozens of counselors gathered at the Schultz Center for their annual conference, focused on building student “superpowers” like grit and resilience – perfectly aligned with the national theme of helping students thrive and preparing them for college, career, and life. Their commitment to growing their own “superpowers” directly fuels student success across Team Duval. Join us in thanking our outstanding school counselors for the lasting difference they make in our schools and community!

CONGRATS to English Language Learners for earning the Jacksonville Jaguar Tickets
Hello, Hogan-Spring Glen Elementary Families. I want to share two critical updates about the future of our school with you. First, I am excited to share that the School Board approved plans to construct a brand-new Hogan-Spring Glen Elementary school. Our new school is scheduled to open in Fall 2027. This new building will be on the same school site, and construction will begin this summer. Second, while the new school is being constructed, Hogan-Spring Glen will hold school in the current Windy Hill Elementary School building (3831 Forest Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32246). That means beginning in August 2025, students enrolled in Hogan-Spring Glen will report to the Windy Hill Elementary building for school. Students enrolled in Windy Hill will attend school at the new Southside Elementary beginning in August 2025. I know there may be many questions about this process, and I want to assure you of two things: We will work with the school district to keep you as informed as possible during this transition period. Even as we get ready to transition, please know that our highest priority remains the academic success of our students, and we are focused on finishing the 2024-25 school year strong! I appreciate your support. Please be on standby for more information. Katherine Stalls, PrincipalHogan-Spring Glen Elementary School #0641 6736 Beach Boulevard Jacksonville, FL 32216 904-720-1640
