Jean Ribault High School Communities In Schools Program

About Communities in Schools Jacksonville:

Communities In Schools of Jacksonville has spent 35 years focused on helping students succeed. Many of our students and their families experience challenges outside of school, which can hinder their ability to concentrate in the classroom. With the help of community partners, we remove barriers to education, provide on-site student support, and connect resources to students and their families in need.

Our students support services include programs in case management, literacy, afterschool, and workforce development. These initiatives are implemented by certified coordinators working inside and outside the classroom, serving as positive adult role models.

Our Goal:

Our goal is simple: we build meaningful relationships and trust between students and caring adults, ensuring they stay on track for graduation and to have a successful future.

Case Management

Our case managers support students and their families with personalized services—in school, at home and beyond. From academic support, attendance monitoring and basic needs, to referrals, home visits, and college or career guidance, we help ensure they have the support and resources required to thrive.

We emphasize workforce development and entrepreneurship by building job readiness skills and encouraging creative thinking. The program also prepares students for college through guidance on educational options and informed decision-making.
