Patriots News Headline

Dear parents and guardians,

Happy Sunday Patriots! This is the last week of the 3rd quarter. Spring Break starts after school on Friday, March 13. We have a lot going on this Friday including a cadre vs cadet volleyball game that is open to all cadets. It will cost $3 to attend. We will also have a concession stand and a “Pie a Hartwell” event to kick off Spring Break. All the funds raised will go to cadet events and teams. Tickets for the in-school volleyball game will be sold during lunch this week.

We also received enough applications to bring out the Vision Van back to JSMAL. All parents/guardians who signed up for these free exams and glasses, Heiken is scheduled to conduct these on March 13. Please make sure your cadet is in school on this day so they do not miss the free vision exam. We are full with 45 cadets, so we are no longer taking applications for this round.

Community Events:

FREE Help with Health Coverage- In response to the overwhelming support and positive outcomes we experienced last year, we are pleased to again offer assistance from the healthcare navigators from Covering Florida during this tax season. Their support was especially impactful for many of our exempt employees within our schools. I personally observed the stress relief and reassurance the navigators provided to some of the most vulnerable members of our community as they worked through healthcare and tax-related questions. If you or someone you know has questions about health coverage - especially as it relates to completing taxes -free assistance is available. In-person assistance is available at Charge Academy ~ 7050 Melvin Rd onMondays and Tuesdays - 9AM to 2PM

Languages support: English, Spanish, and Creole
