Parents and Guardians,

We will begin our first round of DMA 1 testing on Wednesday, October 7. These assessments are for students enrolled in 8th Grade Science, Biology, Algebra 1, and Civics courses. Teachers are working closely with our testing coordinator to schedule testing sessions, and we anticipate all eligible cadets will complete testing by October 16.

We also want to remind our 8th-grade families that JSMAL's Transition to High School Night will be held on Thursday, October 8, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. in the JSMAL Mess Hall and Gym. This event is designed to provide students and families with important information about high school options, academic programs, and end-of-year 8th-grade activities to help cadets make informed decisions about their high school future. Dinner will be provided.

We encourage all 8th-grade students and their families to attend this valuable event.
