Greetings MAJ Families!
We have an exciting week ahead with lots of activities planned!
We are participating in Red Ribbon Week, with a focus on being drug free. A flyer went home this past week with dress up days the students can participate in each day: Monday – wear red, Tuesday – nerd day, Wednesday – Country vs. Country Club and Thursday – pajamas. On Friday, students may “dress up against drugs” in character costumes; however, no masks or “weapon” props may be brought to or worn at school. We will have a character parade beginning at 8:50 AM. Our parade route will take the students outside and family members are invited to come view the parade as it passes by! The viewing area will be along the east end of the building where the car rider and cafeteria doors are located.
Our Title I Math Night is this Thursday, October 30th, beginning at 6:00 PM. Entry will be through the cafeteria on the East side of the building. Our math team has been working hard, preparing activities that will help students build a strong mathematical foundation and assist families with understanding how to support their learning. This will be a fun event for the whole family, and we hope to see many of you there!
Looking ahead, our next School Advisory Council Meeting will be on October 3rd at 4:45 PM. SAC meetings are open to all and we encourage you to come learn more about our school and provide input as we work to continue improving.
Our Veteran’s Day Flag Raising program will take place on November 7th. Families are invited to join us, and we would like to extend a special invitation to our veterans and active-duty military members. Flyers with more information and an opportunity to RSVP will be coming home this week.
We look forward to seeing all our students back tomorrow morning! As always, we thank you for partnering with us in your child’s education as we are Blasting Off to Reach New Goals!!!
