Greetings MAJ Families!
We had a wonderful time celebrating literacy last week! It was great seeing so many of our incredible families at Literacy Night!!
This week is School Counselor Week where we recognize the role of our school counselor and appreciate all she does for us!! 😊 The attached flyer shares how students can participate throughout the week. On Monday, 2/2 – wear a hat, on Tuesday, 2/3 – Ms. T’s favorite things, on Wednesday, 2/4 – Dress like Ms. T. (wear anything snoopy!!), on Thursday, 2/5, wear your grade level color.
The month of February is Black History Month and also Heart Health Month. Students are asked to wear red this Friday, 2/6, for heart health. February 20th students and staff wear a black history inspired shirt, and on 2/27, wear school colors for MAJ, or a traditionally black college or university.
The patrol-sponsored Dad/Daughter dance will take place this Saturday, February 7th. The deadline to purchase tickets is this Tuesday, February 3rd.
Our February School Advisory Council and Mid-Year Stakeholders Meetings will be held on Monday, February 9th. These meetings are open to anyone who would like to come to learn more about our school’s progress toward academic goals. We encourage your feedback and ideas as we work to continuously improve.
