Greetings MAJ Families!
We have another busy week ahead of us. Students in grades 2 – 5 will be taking district math assessments this week. These assessments will be used to help us understand what your child’s specific needs for instruction are for the remainder of the school year. We ask your help in ensuring they get good rest each night and arrive at school on time.
This week we will be celebrating Dr. Seuss’ birthday! A flyer outlining the optional dress up days was sent home this past week..
Monday – wear a wacky hat, headband or hair
Tuesday – wear green
Wednesday – wear crazy socks
Thursday – wear college shirt or colors
Friday – wear red or blue
Our Disco Spring Fever Dance will take place from 3:10 – 5:00 PM this Friday, March 6th. Flyers with information on purchasing tickets went home with students this past week. The deadline for purchasing tickets is this Wednesday.
We will be holding our annual Title 1 Parent and Family Engagement Plan Developmental Meeting immediately following our School Advisory Council Meeting on Monday, March 9th. These meetings are open to anyone who would like to attend. We would love to hear your ideas about what we can do to help as a partner to you in your child’s education. The SAC meeting will begin at 4:45 PM and the PFEP Developmental Meeting will begin at 5:00. If you are unable to attend, but would like to share your ideas, we have surveys available for you to complete and return prior to the meeting.
Coach Green will be running our school “Olympic Day” (field day) next week Friday, March 13th. Your child will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of games and physical activities. They will need to wear athletic shoes (no sandals or crocs) and dress to play. All activities will be held outdoors (weather permitting).
As always, we thank you for partnering with us in your child’s education as we are Blasting Off to Reach New Goals!!! We look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow morning!
