Greetings Mamie Agnes Jones Families!
We had a great second week of school and students are already diving deep into their learning! Everyone should have received their school ID – these were attached to students’ backpacks. They need this daily for the bus and to scan for breakfast. If your child gets a new backpack, please be sure to remove the ID and attach it to the new backpack so they have it each day. There is a fee to replace lost IDs.
Our patrol sponsored “Back to School Glow Party” will be taking place this Friday, August 28th after school! Flyers with information on purchasing tickets went home with students last week. All ticket sales will be completed online (schoolcashonline.com) and no money will be collected at the school. You will also need to complete and have your child return the permission slip and change your child’s dismissal for Friday (located under “After School” then “Dance Party”). Students who are not changed in Pikmykid will be sent home by the dismissal method in the application.
Looking forward, our fall Scholastic book fair will take place next week. Bookfair flyers will be going home this week to review available book titles with your child!
Please mark your calendars and make plans to attend our Open House which will be held on Thursday, September 3rd beginning at 6:00 PM. We will hold our Title I Annual Meeting at 5:30 PM the same night. Attendees for the Title I meeting will have first entry to Open House. The book fair will also be open all evening for families to go and shop!
