Welcome to Matthew Gilbert Middle School!

It is an incredible honor to serve as an Assistant Principal at Matthew Gilbert Middle School—a place that has been much more than a workplace to me. It has been my professional home since 2014.

My journey began here as the school's Math Instructional Coach, where I had the privilege of partnering with teachers to strengthen instruction and improve student achievement. Those years taught me that the greatest impact happens when we invest in people. In 2020, I was honored to accept the role of Assistant Principal, allowing me to continue serving our students, staff, and families in an even greater capacity.

Throughout my time at Gilbert, one truth has remained constant: relationships matter. Every student deserves to be known, every teacher deserves to be supported, and every family deserves a partner in their child's education. I believe schools are at their very best when we create a culture built on collective accountability, high expectations, compassion, and genuine connection.

As a leader, my goal is to help every student discover not only what they are capable of achieving academically, but also who they are becoming as individuals. I strive to create an environment where students feel safe to grow, teachers feel empowered to lead, and families know they are valued members of our school community. In addition to grades and test scores—we also measure success by the confidence we build, the character we develop, and the opportunities we create together.

Matthew Gilbert's guidelines for success are more than a slogan—it reflects our daily commitment to preparing students for bright futures. Through our P.R.I.D.E. values, we challenge our students to be Prepared, Resilient, Independent, Data-Driven, and Excellent in all they do. I am proud to serve alongside an exceptional team that works tirelessly to ensure every Panther has the encouragement needed to succeed.
