Hello Riverside Students,

Instant Decision Day for the Class of 2027 (IDD'27) is November 30th! This event allows you to have your college application reviewed by admissions representatives for on-the-spot admission decisions and scholarship awards. Students earned 176 admissions and over $2.75 million in scholarships at IDD'26! This year, students can meet with reps from:

Barry University
Bethune-Cookman University
Daytona Beach State College
Florida Polytechnic University
Florida State College at Jacksonville
Grand Canyon University
Jacksonville University
St Leo University
Trinity College of Jacksonville
Troy University
US Marine Corps
University of North Florida
University of South Alabama

Valdosta State University
Students must have applications for a minimum of three schools listed above completed in Xello by November 18th to register and attend this event.

LOCAL HEROES VISIT RIVERSIDE 🚁💙💚

Our seniors had an unforgettable morning with the Lifeflight Experience! First responders and medical professionals joined us in the auditorium to share real stories and real lessons about the moments that matter most on the road. Then the Life Flight helicopter landed right on our field, and our seniors watched a live demonstration as rescue crews cut open a car to show what it takes to save a life. 🚒🚑

Thank you to the Life Flight team and to every first responder who came out to Riverside. You do this work every day for our community, and our seniors saw it up close. 🙏

To our seniors: buckle up, put the phone down, slow down, and make every drive a safe one. Your choices behind the wheel matter. 🚗

📅 October is the beginning of financial aid season! Know the facts! 💡

✅ Every student should apply for federal and state funds, regardless if they think they are going to get the award or not.
⏰ The earlier the application is submitted, the better the chances for funds to be set aside for your student.
📝 Adjustments to the forms can be made in some cases if financial status changes between now and college enrollment.
🎓 Financial Aid can be used to cover costs at public colleges (FSCJ, UNF, etc.), some private schools (JU, Flagler, etc.) and some trade schools (ex. J-Tech). 🛠️
