REMINDER:
Open House is on Monday, August 24th. Due to limited parking in and around the school, we will provide shuttle busses from the Emmett Reed Park and Community Center, located at 1093 W. 6th St., Jacksonville, FL 32209. (Less than a 5 minute drive from the school.) These shuttles will run from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. In addition, there will be food trucks here from 4:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. if you’d like to purchase a quick bite before we begin at 6:00 p.m. when you will proceed to your child’s 1A classroom.
Are you interested in being part of Stanton’s School Advisory Council? Members, or ‘stakeholders” consist of the principal, faculty and staff, parents, students, local business and community people. SAC members work on school improvement, addressing issues relative to budget, training, instructional materials, technology and much more. Monthly meetings are held on the 3rd Wednesday of the month at 3:30 p.m. in the Stanton Media Center. Our first meeting is this week, August 19th and open to anyone that would like to attend.
