SHOUTING OUT SEABREEZE TEACHER REBEKAH ROMER – One Team Duval parent is calling Seabreeze Elementary School teacher Rebekah Romer a “true gem” after she stepped in to help her son! Parent Leigh Speicher says she thought her son, Will, was signed up for the school’s Community Education program, which offers after-school classes and activities. However, a technical error prevented him from being registered. This is where Ms. Romer came in: “When Will went to his first class and wasn't on the list, Ms. Romer took action to call us and even helped us sign up past the deadline. Our son was able to stay in the class and had an amazing time thanks to her intervention. What a fabulous thing to do for him so he didn't have to suffer any embarrassment or disappointment. She is so thoughtful and caring to treat our son like this. I thank her for contributing to the culture of Seabreeze, where my son has thrived.”

Today is your last chance to sign up for Community Education.
Here is a great opportunity to learn more coding from Wize Robotics.

Thank you for all of the donated recyclable items for the STEM class. We have enough for right now due to your overwhelming generosity, but I will reach back out when we are in need of more.
Our first quarter Family STEM Challenge should be coming out to students today or tomorrow and is due back on 10/30, and it is the "Candy Catcher." We are in need of Starburst to conduct trials to find the winner of this challenge. Additionally, we have listed some other items on our STEM Wish List on Amazon for our upcoming STEM Week which will be 1/12-1/16/26 and STEAM Night on 1/14/26. This year's theme is "We are Wild about STEAM," encompassing everything wildlife and nature related.
Thank you once again for your generosity, and we are excited for many more STEM activities to come. Here is the STEM List link for Amazon: STEM Wish List.
Warm Regards, Ms. Romer
