At San Jose Elementary, learning comes to life in the most creative ways and our 3rd grade students recently experienced just that through a post office-themed classroom transformation that turned literacy skills into real-world fun.

As part of this engaging unit, classrooms were transformed into bustling post offices, where students became mail carriers, sorters, and clerks. Through this immersive experience, they practiced reading, writing, math, and problem-solving—all while collaborating in teams to keep their classroom “postal service” running smoothly.

💬 “This transformation was all about building collaboration, critical thinking and confidence,” said one 3rd grade teacher. “It’s amazing to see students so engaged and working as a team.”

Activities like this showcase San Jose’s commitment to interactive, meaningful learning experiences that go beyond the textbook. Students are learning how to work together, solve problems and take pride in their efforts.

We’re so proud of our 3rd grade Pandas for their hard work and creativity during this transformation. And special thanks to the incredible 3rd grade ELA teachers who brought this experience to life!

📦📮 Teamwork was delivered—and collaboration signed, sealed, and stamped a success!
