📚💰 Spring Park's Penny Wars Fundraiser is Here! From May 11th–15th, our students will compete in a fun and friendly Penny Wars to help raise money for new state award-winning books for our school library! Each of our four houses — ❤️ Amistad, 🖤 Altrusimo, 💚 Isibindi, and 💙 Reveur — will have a jar located in the library.

✅ Add Points To Your House Jar:
Pennies = 1 point each
$1 bill = 100 points
$5 bill = 500 points
$10 bill = 1,000 points

❌ Subtract Points from Other House Jars:
Nickels = -5 points
Dimes = -10 points
Quarters = -25 points

📚➡️🏫 We are nearing the end of the school year and it's time to start returning all of the library books that are still checked out! 🌎✨💚 Spring Park Elementary is excited to celebrate our Multicultural Day on Friday, May 15th! Students will kick off the day with an International Parade at 8:45 AM, where they are encouraged to wear clothing that represents their culture or country. Later, from 10:45pm – 1:10pm, families are invited to join us for a Cultural Exchange, sharing delicious dishes and traditions from around the world. 🎶✨ Hello Spring Park Families! We’re excited to invite you to Spring Park’s K–2 Musical Performance happening tomorrow, Thursday, April 23rd at 9:30 am! Our talented Kindergarten, 1st Grade, and 2nd Grade scholars have been working hard alongside our music teacher to prepare a musical program for you and they can’t wait to share it! Families are warmly invited to join us as our young performers take the stage and showcase their musical talents. We look forward to seeing you there and celebrating our incredible Spring Park scholars!
🔔 Friendly Reminder: All visitors must sign in at the main office upon arrival, and a valid photo ID is required to enter all DCPS school buildings. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact our main office—we’re happy to help!

🏫🤓 This Friday, April 17th, Spring Park will be hosting "Student Led Data Chats" for Kindergarten-5th Grades. During Student Led Data Chats the students will be leading the conversations, sharing with their parents/guardians things like their beginning and mid-year test scores, their goals for their upcoming end-of-the-year assessments, student work, celebrating their successes in school and more!
If you are interested in signing up for a Student Led Data Chat with your student, please see the flyer located in your child's green Tuesday Folder. Each class has its own special QR code, located on their class's flyer, that parents/guardians will use to sign up for their meeting time. Families who are interested in attending a Student Led Data Chat this Friday are encouraged to sign up as soon as possible since spots may fill up quickly. Thank you in advance for your support in your student's education.

🌎🤝💜 Our Spanish teacher, Senora Morales, is planning a fun-filled activity for our Spring Park scholars and she needs our help! She needs empty toilet paper rolls, empty paper towel rolls, as well as small party favors and individually wrapped treats. She will have a box located in front of the Spanish classroom where students can place their donations. Thank you in advance for helping Senora Morales with this hands-on learning activity!

😁📸 Smile! Spring Picture Day is tomorrow/Wednesday, April 8th. Picture Day froms went home on March 31st, and extra copies are available in the main office if needed. Please Note: for Spring Pictures only those students with payments will be photographed. The following payment options are available:
📲 Online Payment: Visit www.leonards.com/photoprepay with the code C695426. You will then choose your package, background and any add-on items you would like and then make your purchase online. Note: Online payments must be made by 7am on Picture Day (tomorrow/April 8th).
💰 Cash, Check or Money Order Payments: When you receive your Picture Day envelope, choose your package, background and any add-on items you would like to purchase. Complete the white form attached to the envelope and place the payment inside. Students will hand their completed picture day forms directly to the photographer.
👗👔 If you are paying for your child's pictures and you wish for him/her to wear a special outfit please have your child dressed and ready in their special outfit before arriving to school. Students may bring their uniforms to change into once pictures have been taken if families wish to do so.
