Good afternoon Venetia Families! We are almost to the last day of school. Please continue to refer to the End of Year Events Flyer for all end of year activities. We have several testing days this week. Please make sure students are PRESENT & ON TIME. It is BEST that students test with their homeroom. Tuesday, May 13th: 3rd Grade Math FAST Testing Wednesday, May 14th: 4th & 5th Grade Math FAST Testing Thursday, May 15th: 5th Grade Science State Testing Friday, May 16th: 5th Grade Field Trip to The Main Event Friday, May 16th: Multicultural Day! Represent your country studied in class. Each class chose a country. They can come dressed in the traditional attire to represent their country. Upcoming Events: 4th Quarter Awards for K-4 is happening next week. Please refer to End of Year events flyer for times. Have a great week!

We are excited to announce our AttenDANCE Challenge for March 25-April 28. Students who have 90% attendance during this timeframe will be invited to a Neon Glow Party. K-2nd Grade will attend an IN SCHOOL Glow Party. 3rd-5th Grade will attend an AFTER SCHOOL EVENING Glow Party. During this timeframe, students can only miss 3 days of school. Let's work really hard for students to BE PRESENT and READY FOR LEARNING!

PARENT PRAISES KINDERGARTEN TEACHER – Today’s Team Duval Shoutout comes from a proud parent who is thankful for his son’s kindergarten teacher, Devonna Merton. Dimitri Diamond shares how the Venetia Elementary educator is impacting his son: “Every week there is something fun they're doing that relates to what they're learning. My son is autistic, so keeping him engaged and understanding can be difficult, but she does it somehow. I've never met a teacher so amazing and compassionate with all her students.” Amazing work!

Venetia's Book Fair is happening all week. Parents are welcomed to come shop with students from 8:30 AM-9 AM every morning or during Family Night on Thursday from 4 PM- 6 PM. Students will have an opportunity to shop each day.

We are happy to offer Summer Camp this summer starting June 9-July 25. Registration opens March 24th. More information for registration forthcoming.
