✨Classroom Spotlight
Ms. S. Lopez and Ms. Schrimsher’s VPK class kicked off the day with a lesson on identifying triangles and practicing writing letters. After the mini lessons, students moved into centers to apply their learning in fun, hands on ways. Our littlest Gators are growing every day.

We are thrilled to celebrate Mrs. Doss for being named West Riverside Elementary’s School Related Employee of the Year. She has been a cornerstone of our school for many years, keeping our building running smoothly and ensuring everything is in perfect order.
As our dedicated bookkeeper, Mrs. Doss greets every student, family, and visitor with genuine care and compassion. Her kindness, attention to detail, and unwavering commitment to our Gator family make her truly irreplaceable.
We are so grateful to have her as an essential part of West Riverside Elementary.

Our Character Parade has a new date! We are moving from October 31 to Friday, October 24. This update will allow students to dress up for the Character Dance and still participate in all Red Ribbon Week dress up days next week.
The parade is a fun event for students and teachers to see each other’s creative book character outfits and celebrate the joy of reading together.
Students may wear school-appropriate book character outfits. Please, no full face masks, face paint that covers the entire face, or toy weapons at school.

✨Classroom Spotlight: Mr. Hodgson’s Class!
Students in Mr. Hodgson’s class worked collaboratively to sort division word problems by their remainders.
Through teamwork and discussion, they strengthened their problem-solving skills and deepened their understanding of division.
