Keep up the great work, scholars!

We are honored to recognize Ms. DePriest as our West Riverside Elementary Teacher of the Year. For 24 years, she has poured her heart into teaching, and for the past 14 years, she has been a cornerstone of our West Riverside family.
As a first grade teacher and our Extended Day Director, she has touched countless lives with her dedication, and unwavering love for children. Her passion, her commitment, and her deep love for her students and our community shine through in everything she does. West Riverside is better because of her, and we are proud to celebrate the incredible impact she has made and continues to make each day.

PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) helps us build a positive school where students are celebrated for making great choices. One way we do this is through our PBIS Store “Gator Cart Friday”! Students can spend their Gator Bucks on fun items as a reward for showing Gator Greatness.
We’d love your help stocking our cart! Popular items include:
Candy & snacks
School supplies
Small toys & games
Drinks or juice boxes
Your donations make these celebrations possible and keep our students motivated! Thank you for helping us continue our PBIS success.

Dismissal:
Effective Immediately:
Car Riders: Any person picking up a student MUST have a PikMyKid placard to display in the car window. If you do not have a PikMyKid placard, you will be required to park and come into the building to obtain one. You MUST show ID to receive your PikMyKid placard. If you need extra placards for multiple pick up persons, please contact Ms. Mann in the office. When you arrive in the car rider line, announce yourself in the PikMyKid app.
Car Rider Ettiquette: DO NOT use James St. to jump ahead in the car rider line. This confuses the order of the cars in the PikMyKid app. Come down King St. and turn on Herschel St. to get in the car rider line.
Walkers: If you are walking up to pick up your child to walk home, you MUST have a PikMyKid placard or know your student's PikMyKid number.
DO NOT walk up to the front of the building to pick up your child during dismissal. You must drive through the car line or walk to the walkers gate.
These protocols are for the safety of ALL students. We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we make dismissal safe for everyone.

Background screening is required for all volunteers. There are two types of background screening: Level I and Level II. To apply to be a volunteer, go to www.duvalschools.org/o/humanresources/page/volunteer-hr.
