THE 2ND ANNUAL CTE CAREER ACADEMY SHOWCASE – You're invited to this free community event where Duval’s educators and students shine! Highlighting all 67 of the district’s Career and Technical Education (CTE) Academies and programs, this event offers students and teachers a platform to share their innovative work with families and the broader community. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with academy staff and students, explore the unique programs offered across the district, and receive expert guidance from CTE staff on navigating the application process. No advanced registration is required. This event takes place Saturday, Nov. 1, from 9:00 a.m. to noon at the Adam W. Herbert University Center at the University of North Florida. FIVE TEAM DUVAL SCHOOLS RECOGNIZED AS ATTENDANCE CHAMPIONS – This Team Duval Shoutout celebrates five schools that have gone above and beyond in their efforts to improve attendance at their schools. These “Attendance Champions” are Anchor Academy Elementary, Cedar Hills Elementary, Northwestern Legends Elementary, Pickett Elementary, and Alfred I. duPont Middle schools. Each school received a large banner ahead of the new school year, allowing leaders to proudly display their achievements for all parents, students, and community members to see. Great work!

Hello duPont Dual Language Families,
We would like to invite you to the 10th Anniversary Celebration of the Dual Language Program at Alfred I, duPont Middle School. We will be celebrating on Thursday, April 10th at 5:30pm in the auditorium at the school. Please join us for the celebration. There will be student performers, food, and guest speakers. We look forward to celebrating the importance of bilingualism with you.

Good evening, duPont families. This is a reminder that our monthly School Advisory (SAC) meeting will take place tomorrow, Tuesday, March 11th, at 5:30pm in the school Media Center. Following the SAC meeting, we will hold our monthly PTSA meeting at 6:00pm. We hope you can join us!
This is also a reminder that next week March 17-21 our school will be closed for Spring Break. In addition, students will not have school on Monday, March 24th as it is Teacher Planning Day. Students will return to school on Tuesday, March 25th.

Good evening duPont families, this is Assistant Principal Cinotti with a couple of reminders. First, tomorrow, Friday, February 14th, is a regular school day. It is also a dress down day for those students who improved their scores on the state reading assessment from PM1 to PM2. Those students received yellow wristbands to wear tomorrow. Only students with the yellow wristbands may be out of uniform. As a reminder, students must still follow the dress code - no pajamas, no Crocs, no short shorts, no exposed midriffs, etc. Tomorrow is also Valentine's Day. There are to be no deliveries to the school. for students. In addition, students may not carry balloons, large stuffed animals, or any other distracting items with them around school. If brought to school, these items will be confiscated and kept in the front office for the day. Finally, there is no school on Monday, February 17th in observance of President's Day.
