Good Afternoon Crown Point Families, This is Principal Hartley with your updates for the week of February 17th. There is no school Monday, February 17th, as we celebrate Presidents Day. This Friday, February 21st, from 4 to 8 pm, Jet's Pizza at 11250 Old St Augustine Road will be donating 10% of all their sales to our school!! This is a great opportunity to earn some money for the school and support a locally owned business in our community! They have delicious Detroit-Style pizza, wings, and homemade ranch that's made fresh daily. You can order online at JetsPizza.com, call 904-870-8704, or go into the store. You can order your meal to be delivered or pick it up yourself. These next few messages are from our incredible PTA: “A fun time was had by our fundraising Panthers at the Game Truck Party. Thanks for helping to generate funds for the Leader in Me program! To our parents, we appreciate your overwhelming support for the Mommy & Me Breakfast this past Friday. We had such a nice turnout! There will be more information coming out soon about the Ready Tech Go seminar and Spring Carnival.” I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend as we get ready for an incredible week.

There is still time for your child to receive their Book Buddy for completing their Reading for Education program materials! Ask your child about it today! A portion of all proceeds raised go back to support the students of Crown Point Elementary!

These next few messages are from our incredible PTA: “The next All Pro Dad meeting will be tomorrow morning from 7:15 to 8:15am. Refreshments will be served. For those that participated in the Gourmet Candy Fundraiser: the candy has arrived! If your child has orders, be on the lookout for a flyer asking how you'd like to receive them. The Game Truck Party for the students who qualified to attend will be this Friday. Finally, we have reached our seating capacity for the Mommy & Me Valentine's Day Breakfast! Attendees will be receiving an email with special instructions for check-in. Since there is a capacity limit for this event, we will not be able to allow anyone to attend who did not sign up before we reached capacity.” There is no school Monday, February 17th, as we have off to celebrate Presidents Day. Please be sure to complete the information so your child can receive their Book Buddy! There are five adorable animals this year to go along with the theme!

We had a wonderful turnout. These next two messages are from our wonderful PTA. “Great job Panthers! We were able to surpass our $5,000 goal. Students with still due collectibles will receive them this week. Notification as to when candy orders can be picked up will be coming soon. More details on when the Game Truck Party will be taking place is also coming soon. On Friday, February 14th, the PTA will be hosting a Mommy and Me Valentine's Day Breakfast. Event times are 7:15 a.m. to 8:15 a.m. This is a free event, but you must RSVP by Feb 12th to participate. Come enjoy a cozy breakfast, fun activities, and quality time with your little one. Good Afternoon Point Families, This is Principal Hartley with your updates for the week of January 27th. This week at Crown Point, we will be celebrating literacy each day. A flyer with specific information has been posted to the DCPS app as well as our social media pages. We are looking forward to a fun-filled week. Please join us this Monday evening at 5:30 for our monthly school advisory council meeting. This next message is from our wonderful PTA. “Thank you for your participation in the Gourmet Candy fundraiser. With the current online sales and order forms turned in this week, we are at over 85% of our $5,000 goal. Good job Panthers! There's still time to sell and participate in the Game Truck Party. You just have to sell 10 items or reach your personal goal of $100 in sales. The deadline has been extended until tomorrow at 11:59pm. All money and completed order forms should be brought in tomorrow as well. In addition to the fundraiser, please know that the PTA will have their first general meeting of 2025 tomorrow, following the 5:30pm SAC meeting. Come find out what the PTA has planned for the rest of the school year. There will be refreshments and a raffle.” This Wednesday is an Early Dismissal day. Dismissal procedures begin at 1:00. This Thursday evening, please join us for our Family Fit Math Night from 6:00 to 7:00. Wear your athletic gear and come ready for a great time. This next message is from our amazing PTA. “We're almost there! With a little less than 1 week left, we are just about 40% of the way to our goal with online sales. Good job to those making the sales to gain access to the Food Truck Party! Remember, you need to sell 10 items. The deadline is January 24th. Good luck!” Our next School Advisory Council meeting will be on Monday evening, January 27th at 5:30. It will be followed by a PTA meeting. Our PTA has kicked-off this fundraiser and proceeds will benefit our Leader In Me program and genius groups. With 10 sales, your student will gain access to the Game Truck Party! This fundraiser runs until January 24th. There is no school on Monday, January 20th as we celebrate Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday. Good Afternoon and Happy New Year Crown Point Families, This is Principal Hartley with your updates for the week of January 6th. Please remember that there is no school for students on Monday, January 6th due to it being a teacher planning day. We are excited to see our students when they return on Tuesday, January 7th. Due to unforeseen circumstances, we have to cancel Morning Mile and GORUCK until further notice. If your child is part of this program, you should be receiving information from Mrs. Bickle as well. I hope everyone had an amazing winter holiday season as we get ready to return for what we know will be an incredible second half of the school year.
