Just in case we get another round of freezing weather, let's make sure to take care and come dressed appropriately as we don't want our Bobcats getting cold outside at recess, walking to and from school, waiting at the bus stops or at PE! After our annual vision screening, we discovered that some of our kiddos needed glasses! Vision is Priceless stepped in and provided our kiddos with free glasses!

Few reminders about report cards and PM2 FAST state testing.
- Paper report cards go home Monday-today.
- Please sign report cards and return immediately.
You can also access report card details in Focus. However, we decided as a school, that a paper copy is another great way to communicate progress. Signed copies are old school, but it holds our bobcats accountable for their work.
This week (Wednesday and Thursday) we have state FAST testing. We need your support. Please give your child a generous breakfast, turn off or take away electronics and have them in bed by 9pm. And give them words of encouragement! Equally important...:BE ON TIME. If they are late they will not be able to test with their class.
WE cannot do this alone. Together we can make a difference!!

We are having so much fun with all of our classes. The kids are picking out the perfect presents for everyone on their list. Make Up Days Shopping is Scheduled for Wednesday, December 11- Friday, December 13. Students that forgot to bring money or were absent may shop at this time.

We're so excited that our school will be participating in an in-school Penguin Patch® Holiday Shop to spread holiday cheer!
Penguin Patch® Holiday Shop is a fun way for students to shop for family members and experience the spirit of giving while learning to earn, budget, and save! Our shop will be open from December 9th to December 13th.
Your student will have over 100 delightful gifts to choose from, all ranging in price from $0.50 to $14.50. This is an amazing opportunity to empower your student to choose, purchase, and give gifts to their loved ones!

Don Brewer Elementary School cares about the community. The DBE Thanksgiving food drive collected over 400 items of food to donate to our local food pantry. Way to go kids!
House Day!! Another great day of uniting as a family! All 4 Houses pledge to be bully free! Bobcat Nation is on a mission to make everyone feel welcome because we ALL belong!! This month we also made holiday cards for our troops and retirement homes! I’m so proud of our Bobcats!!!
House of ALTRUismo Leaders Roar with pride!! December House celebration will be epic! House leaders met with the principal to plan out a day of reindeer games!! Stay tuned!!
Reveur, the House of Dreamers, had a fantastic time working on cards for the soldiers overseas! Our House leaders will continue to work hard and assist everyone during the year and will be featured before Winter Break!

Today students engaged in their first Bobcat Brag Tag event -1st Qtr Awards celebration!!
Students received BRAG TAGS for All A's, AB honor, perfect attendance pizza with the principal and so much more!! We even had an award for students who participated in our Hispanic Herritage Activities and events! Parents just think about our week!! Everyday was packed with something enriching! From Red Ribbon Week to Brewers Best to our House Celebration, Book Character Parade and today we ended with our 1st quarter awards celebration!!! I am absolutely loving my season at DBE. It's an honor to be your principal!
