Our Kindergarten through 2nd grade students at Fort Caroline Elementary had a wonderful opportunity to experience the art of dance through a special visit from the Florida Ballet School!
Students enjoyed a variety of performances that showcased different styles of dance, including classical ballet, contemporary, and hip hop. One of the highlights of the presentation was learning about pointe shoes—how they work and how dancers use them to perform on their toes.
This engaging experience not only entertained our students but also introduced them to the creativity, discipline, and beauty of dance. We are grateful to the Florida Ballet School for sharing their talents and inspiring our young learners!

CELEBRATING SCHOOL COUNSELORS — Team Duval is proud to recognize National School Counseling Week and the incredible impact our more than 240 school counselors make every single day. They advocate for students, help them navigate their academic journeys, and guide them toward their goals. Each day will be filled with fun, themed activities that encourage our students to read, dream, explore, and imagine the future—one chapter at a time.
From spirit days and buddy reading to our Vocabulary Parade and Masked Reader, this week is all about building a lifelong love for reading while honoring our past, present, and future.
