Dear Fort Families,
As we enter the summer months, we want to take a moment to thank you for your continued support and partnership this school year. Together, we’ve seen incredible progress, and our students are trending in a great direction. Thank you for playing such a vital role in their success!
Although we recognize the importance of a well-deserved summer break, we also know how essential it is to keep the momentum going. To help your child stay on track in reading, math, writing, and science, we encourage you to dedicate a small portion of each day to learning.
Here are a few simple ways you can help at home:
• Read daily for at least 20 minutes
• Review sight words regularly
• Ask comprehension questions while reading
• Explore the world around you and write about it
• Use fun math games and problem-solving activities
Blended Learning Program Access - Students will have access to the following platforms until the date listed below:
Kindergarten - Waterford - August 6th
1st & 2nd Grade - i-Ready - July 25th
3rd-5th Grade - Freckle/Lalilo - June 30th
Attached to this email, you will find helpful resources from the district’s Math Department to support continued learning over the summer.
Also, please note: All student state test scores are now available in your child’s FOCUS account. We encourage you to log in and review your child’s progress to celebrate their growth and identify areas for continued support.
We are on the right path for success here at The Fort—let’s keep pushing forward together! Thank you for all you do to support your scholar.
Wishing you a restful, safe, and engaging summer,
Dr. Faith LaJoy Roberts-Graham
Proud Principal

What is the School Meals Report Card?
This survey will provide valuable insights into satisfaction and preferences within our school district and enable us to make meaningful improvements to our meal program as we plan for the next school year.
Please note that the survey is completely anonymous. No identifying information will be collected.
Why is Your Support Important?
Participation is key to the success of this initiative. The survey will be available from May 12-30. Thank you for partnering with us to improve school meals. Together, we can continue providing happy and healthy experiences for all.

Good afternoon Fort Caroline Elementary Families,
Team Duval has partnered with Florida Prepaid to help families prepare financially for their child’s college education – whether they just enrolled in kindergarten or about to start high school.
Florida Prepaid Plans allow families to lock in the cost of college with fixed monthly payments. Plans now start at just $29/month for the Prepaid Plan Open Enrollment period which ends April 30. The reduced prices result in savings of up to $850 per plan for a 1-Year University Plan – up to $3,400 in savings for four years.
Florida Prepaid’s goal is to make it possible for every Florida family to save simply and affordably. Learn more at https://bit.ly/4iHYGOJ.

Help us honor our amazing Fort Caroline Elementary teachers during Teacher Appreciation Week!

Mark your calendars for end of the year testing dates. We want all students to be present and on time to test with their regular classes.

This month, Andrew Robinson Elementary, Highlands Estates Academy, and Sabal Palm Elementary were named schools of the month for their dedication in engaging families and community members at their school. Each of these schools will be receiving a $1,000 award from our partner, Community First.
As we come to the end of the school year, we are also approaching the deadline for our last 2024-25 School of the Month nominations. Our good friends at Community First will be choosing three schools that embody May’s theme of learning to solve challenging, real-world problems. Nominate your school for a chance to be crowned May’s School of the Month!
How does your school inspire every student to work through challenging, real-world problems every day?
Use the Community First School of the Month – May form to nominate your school and feel free to share with others who might want to nominate your school as well.
Deadline to submit a nomination is April 28.
Theme: Learning to solve challenging, real-world problems.
