October Birthday Celebrations

Hello Wildcat Families,

Please see attached flyer for information on iReady, a DCPS Blended Learning platform and how you can support your child at home. Each week your child should aim for 45 mins of iReady usage and 2-3 lesson passed. Students are provided time during centers to work on their lessons, but they can also access iReady at hom.

Click on the links for resources and a home tracker that you can print for home.

We hope these resources are helpful as you support your child at home.

Have a great day!

Red Ribbon Week is an annual campaign to encourage students to say no to dugs. Hyde Park will celebrate Monday, October 27th through Friday, October 31st.
Candy Crawl is a fun way to end the week long celebration of rallying against drugs. Students will decorate paper bags and venture throughout the school to receive treats.

***Parents, we will need donations of all kinds: candy, juices, pencils, erasers, lollipops, fruit snacks, etc. Please remember we cannot distribute any candy with nuts- as we are a nut-free school. Families, we need your help!

The Hyde Park Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) Team is about to have our grand opening of the Wildcat Store for the '25-'26 school year. Students can earn Wildcat chips for positive behaviors, kind gestures, academic/behavior improvements, attendance, etc. and are able to use these chips to purchase items from Wildcat Store.

We need chips, juices, candy, pencils, little trinkets, markers, coloring books, and whatever else you would like to donate.
***Please remember, we are a nut-free school so any item with nuts are prohibited.

All donations will need to go to the front office.

If you would like to order from Amazon, Wal-mart, Target, or any other store, the address is 5300 Park Street, Jacksonville, Florida 32205.

The three schools will be selected each month to receive a $1,000 prize! Last year, Community First selected 18 schools as schools of the month.

October’s theme is: Building a culture of school attendance.

How does your school work toward every student being in school every day?

We hope that each of you will take part in sharing this month’s nomination link to your stakeholders so they can nominate your amazing schools for consideration of this generous donation. Use October’s survey to nominate your school.
