Calling all our new 6th graders joining our Military Magnet Program! On July 28th, from 0900 to 1230, we are hosting a "Welcome to JSMAL Boot Camp" for our new 6th graders. This is a great way to find your way around, meet staff and faculty, make new friends, and have some fun before starting middle school. We would love to see all of you here on Monday, July 28th. STUDENT STARTS SHOE TYING CLUB – Anisa Williamson, an 8th grader in Joseph Stilwell Middle School's Supported Level Academics (SLA) Program, recognized a need for students with disabilities to learn how to tie their shoes. This led her to take the initiative to start the Shoe Tying Club. The club met each Friday for six weeks, with Williams taking time to instruct her peers. Williamson hosted a graduation ceremony for members, using her own funds to give students gifts and pizza.
