Auditions are OPEN for the New Jax City Minecraft Build Challenge! Loretto Elementary is searching for creative 3rd–5th graders to help defend our title as reigning champions. 🏆✨
🧱 Round 1: Create your best build inspired by the Riverside Arts Market theme and submit screenshots or a short video along with the audition form. New Jax City Build Challenge – Fill out form
📅 Due: February 25, 2026
🧱 Round 2 (Invite Only): A live timed build and virtual interview on March 3, 2026.
We’re looking for students who love Minecraft, think creatively, work well with others, and can work well under pressure. Bonus if you know coding or Minecraft commands!
🌟 Join the team and help bring the next version of New Jax City to life, plus earn prizes, Minecraft swag, and special recognition from city leaders!

CELEBRATING SCHOOL COUNSELORS — Team Duval is proud to recognize National School Counseling Week and the incredible impact our more than 240 school counselors make every single day. They advocate for students, help them navigate their academic journeys, and guide them toward their goals. Our success as an A-rated district with a 97.6% graduation rate would not be possible without these dedicated professionals. As part of this special week, dozens of counselors gathered at the Schultz Center for their annual conference, focused on building student “superpowers” like grit and resilience – perfectly aligned with the national theme of helping students thrive and preparing them for college, career, and life. Their commitment to growing their own “superpowers” directly fuels student success across Team Duval. Join us in thanking our outstanding school counselors for the lasting difference they make in our schools and community!

Due to the passing of one of our beloved school family members, the Literacy Week Career Parade scheduled for Friday has been cancelled.
Students are still welcome to wear their career costumes to school, and we know they will enjoy sharing them with their classmates. We appreciate your understanding and support.
